The chief executive of a Northern Ireland housing association has announced his retirement.
Gerry Kelly, chief executive of Apex, will step down later this year. The 4,500-home landlord is seeking his replacement.
John Meehan, chair of Apex, said: “Gerry’s contribution, not only to Apex Housing Association but to the local community, has been immense.
“He leaves a great legacy and will be missed at the organisation. We wish him well in his forthcoming retirement.
“The incoming chief executive has a unique opportunity to navigate Apex through the next phase of growth and development, bringing fresh ideas and vigour to the role, whilst ensuring continuity of purpose, as well as delivering the key strategic objectives going forward.”
Apex is one of the largest housing associations in Northern Ireland, with around 650 staff and a group turnover of £45.5m.
It has a development pipeline of around 1,000 homes.
