The long-serving chief executive of South Liverpool Homes (SLH) has left the organisation after a ‘mutual agreement’ with the board.
In a statement, SLH confirmed that Julie Fadden, who has been chief executive for nearly 17 years, has left after discussions with the board.
Ms Fadden will be replaced on an interim basis by Ian Cresswell, current executive director of innovation, technology at risk at SLH.
Commenting on the decision, Ms Fadden said she wanted to move on to deliver new outcomes for a broader range of neighbourhoods.
David Jepson, chair of SLH, thanked Ms Fadden for her “outstanding commitment and dedication to the South Liverpool community”.
According to the statement, Ms Fadden led the organisation’s homelessness reduction project through the pandemic, which rehoused more than 2,000 homeless adults and children in permanent furnished homes across the city.
The news comes six months after SLH saw its governance rating downgraded to G2, with the English regulator stating at the time that the board needed to strengthen its oversight of the business and improve its risk management.
In a statement to Inside Housing: Ms Fadden said: “Having transformed the organisation to one that is totally focused on the communities we serve and delivering the work required to restore us to G1, it is time to look forward to delivering new outcomes for a broader range of neighbourhoods facing today’s challenges and needing new solutions.”
