How many tenancies are failing because engagement with the resident is inappropriate or inadequate? New research from Shelter Cymru suggests that taking a trauma informed approach to tackling issues like anti-social behaviour may result in better outcomes and more sustained tenancies.

This session will help you to understand what "trauma informed" means and how it can be helpful in engaging with and supporting tenants in a variety of scenarios.

For example, trauma informed policies can improve how rent is collected, properties are allocated and anti-social behaviour resolution. It can fundamentally reframe how the housing sector understands and responds to complex cases that may fall through the net because practices are too process led and support needs are not identified.

Learn from case studies where trauma informed approaches have been applied successfully to benefit both landlords and tenants.
