The chief executive of the UK’s largest local authority and the council chief at the heart of England’s flagship devolution deal have both confirmed that they will speak at Housing 2016, the CIH conference and exhibition.
Mark Rogers, chief executive at Birmingham City Council, and Manchester City Council chief executive Sir Howard Bernstein will share a platform, discussing the opportunities that devolution offers for housing.
Sally Randall, housing director at the Department for Communities and Local Government, and Campbell Robb, chief executive at housing charity Shelter, are also among the 80 confirmed speakers for the event, which takes place on 28-30 June in Manchester.
“Housing 2016 is a must-attend event for everyone working in housing who wants to influence the future of what and how we deliver locally,” said Chartered Institute of Housing chief executive Terrie Alafat.
“The sessions on devolution and regeneration provide the opportunity to hear from those directly involved in developing policy and implementation on the ground.”
Delegates booking before the end of the day on 22 April will receive a £70 discount when they book at www.cihhousing.com.
