Customer service

We have developed specific processes and procedures to ensure we understand and meet the various needs of customers and our customer excellence teams ensure that their experience is the best it can be.

Our technicians are trained in dealing with vulnerable customers and those facing challenges such as illness, disability, isolation or old age.

We develop bespoke communication plans, impact assessments and work with support workers and family members to identify specific needs. We ensure technicians are aware of any special requirements or issues that vulnerable customers may have.

Corporate responsibility

We work with clients to develop social value charters that all employees and partners embrace.

These complement our clients’ corporate responsibility approach and set out the standards we expect from all employees to improve social, economic and environmental value. With the Social Values Act 2012 in mind, the charter covers securing social value through supporting customers with limited life opportunities,

developing local supply chain skills and experience and delivering community projects that benefit local customers.

Training and apprenticeships

We create employment and training opportunities in local communities by working with local schools and training organisations wherever possible. We promote these initiatives to maximise the opportunities for long-term jobseekers and develop apprenticeships through our shared apprenticeship programme.

Our continued investment in training and developing our people is part of our strategy to help achieve cost and efficiency savings through planned energy efficiency programmes and refurbishment works that are designed to reduce turnaround times and minimise expense for our clients.

Our voids process makes optimum use of the notification period when customers leave a property. This means more cost-effective refurbishment planning and repair work to get the property back to market as quickly as possible, ensuring key to key time is minimised.
