The acceleration of retrofit works taking place in the sector indicates we’re heading in the right direction, but the short delivery time frames of SHDF programmes have led to a bottleneck of projects, and high demand for contractors, materials, and installers. The retrofit supply chain and workforce still need to be scaled up to meet current and future demand so this session will address how we go about tackling this:
- How can organisations collaborate on joint retrofit pipelines to generate local supply chains and skills as a combined force?
- What does effective training look like with limited budgets? Traditional training courses are not the best approach for everyone, so what are the alternatives?
- How can we ensure procurement routes enable large scale delivery and don’t undermine the skills growth issue?
- How can social landlords integrate resilience as a fundamental pillar within their organisation, safeguarding the retention of good people within the sector
