A large Welsh housing association has unveiled a new executive director, as it develops a new executive team.
Pontypridd-based association Trivallis has announced Lisa Pinney will join the organisation in May as its new executive director of resources.
Ms Pinney will join the 10,000-home landlord from Pobl Group, the Newport-based housing association where she has worked for the past seven years.
Her appointment comes just months after interim chief executive Duncan Forbes was asked to stay on in a permanent capacity. Keiron Montague, who has been executive director of communities since 2020, completes Trivallis’s leadership team.
“I am really excited about Lisa joining us in May and having the whole new team in place,” said Mr Forbes.
“There are huge opportunities to make a difference at Trivallis, and with a fantastically strong executive leadership team, we are looking forward to working with tenants, board and staff to shape our future and improve our services to tenants.”
Trivallis’s bolstered management comes nearly a year after the organisation had its regulatory judgement placed under review due to concerns about its lack of senior executives.
After the decision, the association’s board signed a voluntary undertaking, a legal document that set out exactly what actions must be taken and by when.
It included several in-depth reviews of structures, governance and management arrangements, and financial assumptions.
Talking about her appointment, Ms Pinney said: “I can’t wait to get started at Trivallis. I’m really excited about the opportunity to join a fantastic team with big ambitions for tenants and colleagues. I look forward to getting out and about and meeting many of you as I get to know the organisation.”
Earlier this month, Trevallis also appointed Nick Beckett as its new chair.
He replaced Jonathan Huish, who left after a five-year stint during which he led the association through COVID, floods and substantial internal restructuring.
