Each winner exemplifies best practice in housebuilding today. Wigan Council was the winner of two awards for its Whitebeam Close regeneration project; the judges praised its “outstanding design” and drew attention to the project’s extra-care scheme, commending its focus on the “very specific needs” of older and vulnerable residents.
