She brings over 20 years of financial leadership experience, including board-level expertise, Beyond said.

An associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the 15,000-home landlord added that Ms Wallace is “dedicated to fostering innovation and promoting a culture of continuous learning within the organisation”.

She said: “I am really excited to be joining Beyond Housing as the organisation works towards finalising its new corporate strategy.

“I look forward to working with the leadership team and board to improve the overall customer experience and the homes we provide.”

Rosemary Du Rose, chief executive at Beyond, added: “We are pleased to welcome Caroline and look forward to her strengthening our financial strategy and supporting [our] long-term goals.”

Beyond owns and manages more than 15,000 homes across six local authorities in the North East and Yorkshire.

Last March, it was upgraded to G1 for governance by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH)

It had demonstrated “continuous improvement in its governance processes and wider risk management approach”, while its performance and reporting framework support “effective board oversight of risks” and delivery of its strategy, the RSH said.

Beyond has a V1 grade for financial viability.
