The chief operating officer of a large London housing association will be leaving later this year.
Rachael Dennis joined Catalyst as the executive director of finance in 2014 and was appointed chief operating officer in 2017. Rachael will join Taylor Wimpey, one of the largest house builders in the UK, as managing director.
During Ms Dennis’ time at Catalyst the association received an ‘A’ credit rating from agency Standard & Poor’s.
Catalyst owns over 21,000 homes in London and the South East.
The association appointed Ian McDermott as the chief executive in December following the retirement of Rod Cahill, who had worked for the company for 26 years.
Ms Dennis said: “After nearly five fulfilling years, I have decided to take up a new and exciting personal challenge.
“Catalyst is a great organisation and one I am proud to have been a part in leading. Having worked quite closely with Ian over the past six months, I know that he will take the organisation to an exciting next level of growth and excellence.”
Mr McDermott, chief executive of Catalyst, said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Rachael over recent months and into 2019. Rachael is a great talent and leaves the organisation in strong financial health, having made real progress in improving services for our customers. I wish her the best of luck in her new role.”
Ms Dennis will be leaving Catalyst in the spring, and her role will be replaced by an executive director of group finance and an executive director overseeing operations.
