As the biggest names in the sector descend on Housing 2024 in Manchester, the city was also home to a pair of awards ceremonies that put the names of the sector’s unsung heroes up in lights.
Once again, the Women in Housing Awards took place alongside the Housing Heroes Awards at the opening ceremony of this year’s annual conference.
The housing sector is filled with unsung heroes dedicated to improving the lives of some of the country’s most vulnerable people.
These awards recognise those passionate and inspirational teams, leaders and staff members who go the extra mile.
Last year’s winners can be found here.
This year, however, saw one initiative take home an impressive three awards: community interest company No Floor No More, which collects and recycles flooring to ensure Hertfordshire Council tenants don’t have to live with bare floors.
The standard of entries was as high as ever, and the judges had their work cut out once again. Congratulations to all the nominees – and especially to this year’s winners.
