The UK Housing Awards continue to shine a light on the remarkable teams and individuals who lead the sector by example with their passion and commitment.
Once again, their energy, focus and hard work have made a real and valuable impact to the people and communities they serve.
Over 19 categories, this year’s winning and highly commended entries demonstrate the breadth and urgency of this work in everything from campaigning to homelessness – despite the extra layer of difficulties imposed by the ongoing pandemic.
This year, the homebuilder of the year award has been split into two categories. Both were won by local authorities – Reading and Dudley – which were recognised by the judges for their ambition, commitment to sustainability and strong team working.
Centrepoint won two awards this year. The homelessness charity was recognised by the judges for its campaign on behalf of vulnerably housed young adults, which led to a change in government policy – and for its wider work as a provider of supported housing.
