Ms May will speak for half an hour on the Exchange Auditorium stage tomorrow at 3pm.

Organisers have advised that the anticipated popularity of the speech means attendees should take their seats an hour before it is set to take place.

Ms May will be speaking just weeks before she is set to step down as prime minister, following the conclusion of the Conservative Party’s leadership contest on 22 July.

It will be the second large housing conference she has spoken at in the past 12 months, following her speech at the National Housing Summit in September.

At the summit, Ms May announced £2bn of funding for the affordable housing sector after 2022.

She also announced the first wave of strategic partnerships with housing associations, which saw eight associations given £590m to deliver 23,500 home starts before March 2022.

Earlier today, Ms May announced that the government would consult on plans to improve the accessibility of all new homes for disabled people.
