The Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) has placed Tower Hamlets Community Housing (THCH) on its gradings under review list.
According to the English regulator, it is investigating matters at the London-based housing association which “may impact on [its] compliance with the Governance and Financial Viability Standard”.
The social landlord, which manages and maintains around 3,000 homes, is currently graded V2 for viability and G1 for governance.
The regulator puts a provider on its grading under review list when its compliant grade – G1 or G2 and V1 or V2 – is being investigated in relation to an issue which may result in a downgrade to a non-compliant grade.
Anita Khan, chief executive of THCH, said: “We’ve been through a lot of change as an organisation, and we welcome the opportunity to engage with the regulator in a transparent and open way.
“We’re confident we can offer the RSH the assurance it requires and continue to deliver and improve our services for our residents.”
THCH is the latest provider to have its gradings put under review.
In July, it placed Highstone Housing Association on its gradings under review list.
