Network Homes’ £2bn offsite JV gets green light for first scheme
The first scheme to be built under a new £2bn offsite partnership between Network Homes, Laing O’Rourke and Stanhope has been given the planning green light.
On Wednesday night the £200m development in Southall, west London was granted planning permission by Ealing Council, paving the way for construction to start on site next year.
The 575-home Merrick Place development will consist of four separate buildings between 15 and 23 storeys.
A total of 35% of all homes will be affordable, with a tenure split of 30% London Affordable Rent and 70% shared ownership.

It will be the first to be developed under the consortium, which brings together the housing association with developer Stanhope and contractor Laing O’Rourke.
The partnership, which was unveiled in February, will identify, develop and then build out schemes using Laing O’Rourke’s offsite construction factory in Steetley, Nottinghamshire.
It aims to deliver 1,500 build-to-rent homes over the next five years and could be worth £2bn. The joint venture sealed a place on the mayor of London’s development panel in August, under the name Prospect House Consortium.
David Gooch, executive director of development at Network Homes, said: “We’re really pleased this fantastic scheme has got planning permission.
“Not only will it bring over 570 much-needed new homes to London, it will also dramatically transform a poorly used brownfield site triggering the regeneration of the wider Southall area.”
