Managing director appointed to lead integration following mega-merger

Mr Weerasinghe joins One Housing from Wheatley Group, where he is currently managing director of Glasgow Housing Association (GHA). 

He has served in the role since November 2019 following nine months as director of innovation and improvement.

Before that, he spent 16 years at L&Q where he rose to regional director of operations. 

Riverside said that Mr Weerasinghe was appointed following a competitive process, by “clearly demonstrating” its “values and behaviours”. 

The landlord said that he will support the One Housing integration into Riverside, lead on development and operational activities in the capital, and manage stakeholder relationships in London.

Carol Matthews, chief executive of Riverside, said: “I’m delighted that Jehan has been appointed our new managing director for One Housing. 

“He will play an integral role in the Riverside Group’s executive team and will be responsible for One Housing’s reputation and stakeholder management in London. I’m looking forward to welcoming Jehan to the team.”
