Countryside Partnerships completed the purchase of the parcel of land on Pickford Green Lane, which will provide up to 250 homes. It will form the first part of a wider 353-acre site at Eastern Green.

The scheme, to be known as Pickford Gate, aims to include 25% affordable homes alongside employment land, a new primary school, district and local community centres, a transport hub and open spaces.

Inside Housing understands that Countryside is currently still finalising contracts with a preferred affordable housing partner for the scheme.

Countryside is looking to open show homes on the site towards the end of 2023.

Phil McHugh, managing director for the West Midlands at Countryside, said: “We have a very strong track record for housing delivery across the Midlands. This venture will enable us to deliver high-quality, mixed-tenure homes for the Coventry area.

“As well as building much-needed housing, we will be creating an integrated community where people will love to live.”
