Inside Housing names ‘40 Under 40’
Today Inside Housing announces a list of 40 outstanding housing professionals who are shaping the future of the sector, and are under the age of 40.
The 40 Under 40 list was put together as part of the magazine’s 40th anniversary celebrations, and announced today at a session of the Housing 2024 conference in Manchester.
The 40 people on our list have been nominated by their colleagues, peers and mentors. More than 300 entries were received, and the final list was judged by an expert panel from across the sector.

Launching the awards, Inside Housing’s editor Martin Hilditch said: “The world has changed dramatically since Inside Housing’s first edition in 1984.
Tomorrow’s housing leaders have to address national commitments to decarbonise the housing stock – and also plan for a future affected by climate change. Most immediately, they will have to rise to the challenge of improving stock quality or delivering better-quality homes in the future.”
The expertise and learning from Inside Housing’s 40 Under 40 will appear in a range of articles and events over the course of the next year.
Inside Housing will also consult with them on the magazine’s ongoing Housing Hires campaign to promote careers in the sector.
