Community Housing Cymru (CHC) has welcomed four new commercial partners that will bring expertise and advice in a number of key areas.
The membership body for housing associations across the devolved nation said the firms “will play a crucial role in supporting the Welsh social housing sector”.
The first new partner is Lovell Partnerships; it brings expertise in housing-led regeneration, new build, affordable housing, refurbishment and strategic land.
The second is West Wales-based multi-disciplinary architectural practice RLH Architectural, which has over 15 years’ experience working with housing associations.
Joining these organisations is independent financial services consultancy Quantum Advisory, which specialises in pension and employee benefit services.
Finally, Barcud Shared Services, which was established by a consortium of Welsh housing organisations, is adding its internal audit and risk and assurance experience to CHC’s commercial partnerships.
Stuart Ropke, chief executive of CHC, said: “We are delighted to welcome these exceptional organisations as our new commercial partners.
“Their dedication and expertise will undoubtedly contribute to the success of our members and the Welsh housing sector as a whole.
“We look forward to the positive impact that our new partnerships will bring as we continue to strive towards our mission of making a beneficial impact in communities across Wales.”
Since its inception, CHC has connected its members with commercial partners to help provide additional insights to its members across Wales.
The new four new firms join CHC’s existing seven partners. These are: Centrus, Travis Perkins, Broadleaf Professional, the Communities & Housing Investment Consortium, Hugh James, Gallagher and Utility Aid.
Speaking at the CHC’s annual governance conference last month, Mr Ropke warned the new Welsh government against “responsive and short-term policy-making” in favour of a long-term plan to end homelessness.
