Association selects four contractors for £160m development framework
A large housing association has selected four construction companies to deliver a £160m development framework.
Bromford, which owns 44,000 homes in the Midlands and South West, has signed a partnership with Galliford Try Partnerships, Lovell Partnerships, E G Carter, and Speller Metcalfe.
The framework agreement, called the Bromford Construction Partnership (BCP), will deliver roughly 1,100 affordable mixed-tenure homes over the next four years.
Development will largely be focused in the wider Gloucestershire area, but homes will be built as far north as Worcestershire and as far south as Bristol.
In January this year, Bromford was announced as a strategic partner for Homes England, receiving £64.4m to deliver 1,400 homes.

The organisation said the new framework will maximise successful land opportunities, the provision of new energy-efficient homes and drive up productivity, while also creating local jobs, apprenticeships and work experience opportunities.
Bromford has an in-house construction team which aims to deliver 1,400 new homes each year over the next decade.
Martyn Blackman, executive director of new homes at Bromford, said: “Forming a genuine partnership approach with organisations whose ambition and values align with our own is a key part of the Bromford strategy.
“Around £160m will be invested in the wider Gloucestershire area and with the impressive track records of Galliford Try Partnerships, Lovell Partnerships, E G Carter and Speller Metcalfe, we are confident the BCP will demonstrate how collaborative working can help deliver the high-quality homes needed to combat the UK’s housing crisis.”
