Housing association and council moves

  • Joanna Davoile of Wales & West Housing has been promoted to executive director of assets. Her previous role, director of development, has been filled by Jo Curson, who joins from GreenSquareAccord.

  • Joanne Hiscock has been named Moat’s new head of strategic asset management. Ms Hiscock has been appointed to the newly created role after spending time as West Kent Housing’s head of strategic asset management. She is one of two new Moat recruits. Nick Murdoch is moving from being a senior quantity surveyor at Kier to become the South East-based association’s head of planned investment and delivery.

  • Platform Housing Group has brought Alan Pibworth in as its new procurement operations manager. Mr Pibworth, who joined at the end of August, was previously a senior manager at MCP2/4C Associates.

  • Thomas Boam is Platform Housing Group’s new senior quality manager. Mr Boam started on 22 August and joins from Nottingham City Homes, where he was clerk of works at the ALMO for the East Midlands local authority.
  • CHP has made two senior appointments. Its people and culture director, Rachel Hadley (top), is also taking on the role of deputy chief executive. She takes over from Paul Edwards, who has recently been promoted to chief executive. Neil Perrins joined the landlord in August to become the new chief financial officer, replacing Mr Edwards who held this role alongside his deputy chief executive position. Mr Perrins joins from Barking Riverside Limited, a joint venture between L&Q and the Greater London Authority.

  • GreenSquareAccord has made two new appointments. Laura Pickett, the landlord’s new head of communications and marketing, joins from fellow Midlands association Citizen, where she spent three-and-a-half years as senior communications manager. Rob Clifford has been named as chief technology officer of the association, a position that has just been created. Mr Clifford moves from Optivo, where he was director of digital technology and transformation.

  • Jacque Allen (above) has been appointed as the new Your Housing chief executive. Ms Allen will replace Brian Cronin, who announced his retirement from the top job at the landlord earlier this year. Ms Allen took on the role of interim chief executive in July, after being promoted from her role as chief operating officer.

  • ClwydAlyn has appointed Tom Boome as its new head of technical, innovation and climate. Mr Boome joins from Ambition North Wales, the 6,000-home landlord where he was the land and property project manager.

  • Notting Hill Genesis has promoted Katie Bond to the newly created role of chief operating officer. Ms Bond was previously the group director of sales and building safety. She started on 17 August.
  • Broadacres has named Helen Fielding as its new development and investment director. Ms Fielding, who started on 1 August, joins from Homes England, where she was head of growth. She replaces Joy Whinnerah, who has moved to become executive director of development at Thirteen Group.

  • Stuart Ilsley has been promoted to become Town & Country Housing’s new operations director. Mr Ilsley replaces Jo Ellis, who is retiring. Mr Ilsley moves up from the position of assistant director of transformation.

  • Gloucester City Homes has made Charlie Morefield its new head of people, culture and communications. He joins from Stonewater, where he was people and places manager.

  • Dame Esther Rantzen and Sir Norman Lamb have both joined the advisory board of Alertacall, the digital company aimed at providing better digitisation services and reducing loneliness and isolation. Dame Esther is a campaigning journalist, who was behind the creation of Childline and The Silver Line. Sir Norman used to be a Liberal Democrat MP, and served as minister for care in the coalition government.
  • David Jervis has taken charge of the new homes business of Burrington Estates, the developer. Mr Jervis will take over as managing director as Burrington Estates’ founders, Mark Edworthy and Paul Scantlebury, step away from the day-to-day running of this part of the business. 

  • Retirement Villages Group has hired Clair Carpenter (above) as its new chief operating officer to lead growth plans.
