How are you supposed to sleep at night knowing the cladding that surrounds your home is a fire risk? The government must urgently intervene to make sure no resident - in social or private housing - has to live like this.t.co/acZqZhMnXp

People weren’t too impressed by James Brokenshire’s response:
Here is @JBrokenshire’s response to our call to #EndOurCladdingScandal.

Hurtful. @JBrokenshire this is by no means an adequate response. Anyone who understands the asks and the rationale of the campaign will be able to see this.

Hi @kitmalthouse, we at Northpoint have been waiting patiently to hear how you’ll resolve the #CladdingScandal for nearly 18 months, while trapped in unsafe homes & being forced to pay life changing sums for your interim safety measures. Will you #EndOurCladdingScandal tomorrow?

Neither did the numbers on cladding removal make good reading:
Almost 2 years from Grenfell, just 16% of the residential blocks with similar cladding have had it removed. In the private sector its just 5%
— Peter Apps (@PeteApps)
This is a monumental failure of public policy and speaks of a system which simply does not care enough#EndOurCladdingScandal pic.twitter.com/nrXxPBTZUjAlmost 2 years from Grenfell, just 16% of the residential blocks with similar cladding have had it removed. In the private sector its just 5%

And the ministerial team was invited along to pitch in and carry out a fire warden shift:
Hi @kitmalthouse @JBrokenshire - I’d like to invite you to join me or a neighbour on a waking watch shift at @Northpoint20.It would be helpful for YOU to see the "interim measures" put in place to ensure that residents are safe tonight, that you constantly speak of in the press.
