Again and again and again
Another dangerous fire called for a powerful message. It was a risk to use a white page because of the thin paper stock but it worked and had a big impact. This cover was shortlisted for an award.
100 years of council housing
To present our 100 years of council housing coverage, we decided on a very simple idea of having the logo on the front. I wanted a vintage feel so I chose to put the entire cover in a sepia effect.
The Grenfell Inquiry report
I enjoy creating a full-bleed cover, and the Grenfell Inquiry report gave me the opportunity to do so. A great picture did most of the work and I was fortunate enough to get away with the experimental type over the masthead.
Waking watch
This cover offered something different to our normal style of a news front. Reportage photography captured the plight of residents in a tower block where residents are on 24-hour watch because of dangerous cladding on their building.
