Since taking up her role last year, Stacey has transformed the engagement approach of Gentoo’s fire and building safety team.

 

She has introduced a number of initiatives to educate and engage with customers, colleagues and contractors. These include creating a Building Safety Customer Group, which meets frequently all year round. Great care is put into the preparation for these meetings by Stacey to ensure the time spent with customers is both interactive and relevant. She has also launched a sector-wide network group that shares challenges and best practice; Stacey has already built a group membership of more than 50 members from 30 housing associations and local authorities. Stacey has also created an accessible building safety strategy, then undertook demographic research of all of Gentoo’s high-rise buildings to find out how customers would best like to receive this strategy and to offer their feedback.  

 

She is a rising star in the sector, who always puts the customer first in what is a very demanding role.
