Michaela has already made a significant impact and contribution to the housing sector in Northern Ireland and beyond. She began her career as a student housing officer at Ulster University, went on to work as a housing officer at Cluid and Clanmil Housing, then joined the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) as a patch manager.

 

In her time on the frontline, Michaela has worked in some of the most challenging areas in Northern Ireland to deliver an effective and high-quality housing management service. In particular, her work to help set up the West Belfast Community Hub has had a lasting positive impact on community cohesion through events such as activities for children and employability support for residents.

 

Today, Michaela is an assistant manager in NIHE’s workforce development team, where she supports the next generation of housing professionals. Michaela’s passion for housing also extends to her free time; she is a voluntary trustee at Rural Housing Association, working to oversee an organisation that delivers vital and impactful work in rural Ireland.
