Marc is committed to improving the lives of homeless young people in the UK through his work to highlight the issue of homelessness in this population, particularly within the educational system. His work is already being applied more widely to ensure that young people currently experiencing homelessness can gain the educational, employment and training skills that will break the cycle of homelessness in their future.
Marc has made a huge impact at Centrepoint, despite still being early on in his career. His work has led to improved screening of learning needs, delivery of training and reflective practice sessions for Centrepoint staff, and the development of the first specific neuropsychological assessment pathway for homeless young people outside of statutory services.
Within this pathway, his assessment work has already enabled homeless young people to access the housing and/or care pathways they deserve, but from which they were previously excluded.
