Over the past two years, Anup has led a £200m private placement club deal – that is, independently building an oversubscribed order book without a bank agent – negotiating on pricing, leading on issuer due diligence, documentation, collateralisation, sustainability and project management. He has co-led, co-ordinated and managed negotiations with more than 30 funders, including banks, debt capital markets and others to retain embedded value in a £4bn debt portfolio.

 

However, this is just the latest of Anup’s achievements. He won the Social Infrastructure US Private Placement Deal of the Year in Global Capital’s Private Debt Awards in 2020. He has developed and embedded a sustainable finance framework tailored to Sovereign Network Group’s sustainability strategy; and he has helped to develop a new innovative trade finance product within the social housing sector.

 

Anup continues to push the envelope in what is possible in the sector and excels in building new relationships with both traditional and new prospective funders to the sector. He is actively working on identifying potential new funding structures to continue to maximise the delivery of new affordable homes.
