Andy’s combination of financial acumen and dedication to delivering against Housing 21’s values and social purpose makes him an incredibly valued member of this provider’s leadership team. These qualities are what enable him to maximise the business’ financial resources and capability to ensure best value for residents, while also navigating an increasingly challenging economic landscape. 

 

Directly managing a team of 15, with overall responsibility for 80 colleagues, Andy is known across the organisation not just for his financial leadership, but for his approachable nature. In addition to being voted ‘Mentor of the Year’ by his colleagues, he was also recognised externally by the West Midlands Finance Awards, where he was highly commended in the ‘Rising Star’ category. 

 

Andy has safely shepherded Housing 21 through various times of change and challenge. He led the finance department through a time of considerable upheaval during the COVID-19 pandemic, and helped to facilitate the organisation’s move to home-working. More recently, Andy has provided the solid foundation that has enabled Housing 21 to exceed its strategic growth plans and acquire more than 1,000 retirement living and extra-care properties over the past 18 months.
