Ali oversees communal and district heating for more than 18,000 L&Q residents. With a decade of senior management experience in infrastructure, construction and energy at companies such as E.ON UK, his guiding principle is that everything comes down to the customer – and being able to offer them a better, more sustainable and cost-effective service.
Under Ali’s leadership, L&Q has been able to manage the energy crisis better than many others in the market. His work has enabled L&Q to deliver heat to residents at a price far below the market rate, while ensuring that future customers benefit from reliable, low-cost heat. Ali’s changes to L&Q’s heat networks pricing strategy, meanwhile, have enabled residents to track their payments and identify unnecessary energy usage.
